Inbox: messages are shown in chronological order

In a conversation, the oldest message now sits at the top and the newest at the bottom. The duplicate, unformatted preview line on the open message is gone.

Fixed

  • The newest message sits at the bottom. In a conversation, the newest message used to sit at the very top — so your own reply appeared above the message it was answering, which inverts cause and effect. Messages are now in chronological order: the older history at the top and still collapsed behind a single toggle, the newest message open below it — the way common mail programs do it.
  • No more duplicate preview line. On the open newest message, a short preview appeared above the properly formatted text. It squeezed the whole message — greeting, signature and quoted history — into a single unformatted line, so the same content was on screen twice. That preview now only shows on collapsed messages, which is what it is meant for.
