- Signing up with a known email address gets you into your account. Using the sign-up page with an email address that already has an account did send you the code, but the code got you nowhere: entering it ended in a message telling you to check your internet connection — with no hint that your account had existed all along. The code now works and simply signs you into your existing account. Nothing changes for new accounts.
- A wrong or expired code says so. A mistyped or too-old 6-digit code showed the same misleading message about the internet connection. Both code screens — sign-in and sign-up — now show a clear note that the code is invalid or expired and that a new one can be requested.
