Optional markers survive the carry-over. If you marked positions as optional on a delivery note and then built a quote from it, they showed up as regular positions again and every option had to be set by hand. The marker now travels with the position, in either direction.
Change the marker and the drafts follow. Mark a position as optional on the quote and the linked delivery-note and invoice drafts pick it up automatically. Documents you have already finalised and sent stay untouched.
