New
- Rental items: availability is now checked for the requested period. Until now, a rental item's stock counted like a consumable's total supply — once rented out, it stayed effectively booked forever. Now Univents compares rental periods: if two rentals don't overlap, the item is available for both. If a line item has no period of its own, the event's period applies. Open inquiries count too, cancelled events don't. Buffer days on the item still apply and extend the occupied period before and after it — time for transport and prep. If no buffer days are set on the product, the buffer stays at 0 — the check then works with exactly the booked period.
- Double bookings of the last unit are prevented. For products with Hide when sold out enabled, the public booking page now rejects an order when a rental item's stock isn't enough for the requested period anymore — even if two orders come in at the same time.
- Internally, just a warning, never a block. If you add a rental item to a booking yourself, inside an event, and its stock is tight for the requested period, Univents shows a warning — it still saves, so you can deliberately overbook.
- Without a maintained stock figure, nothing changes. If a rental item has no stock number entered, or Unlimited stock is on, nothing is checked, as before. A note in the product form points this out so you can add the figure.
