Stock now actually holds on the booking page

With “Hide when sold out” ticked on the product, an order beyond the stock level is rejected — even when two guests order at the same moment.

Fixed

  • Sold out now means sold out. The Hide when sold out checkbox on a product used to hide the item in the shop only — the order still went through. From now on Univents checks the quantity on submit: if stock does not cover it, the order is rejected and the guest is told which product is affected. This also holds when two guests order at the same moment, or when someone has had the product sitting in their basket for a while — only as much gets through as stock covers.
  • Without the checkbox nothing changes. Products with unlimited stock, services, rental items, and products without a stock figure stay orderable exactly as before.
  • Worth knowing: stock is a total, not a per-day quantity — whatever has been ordered is also missing for every later date. That is exactly why rental items are left out: they come back after the event and should be bookable again. That note now sits right next to the checkbox on the product. Anything that has not been rejected counts as taken; reject an inquiry and its quantity is free again straight away.
