A room can no longer be double-booked through your booking page

If a room already had an inquiry, a second booking for the same time still went through. It is now declined — while a different time on the same day stays bookable.

Fixed

Two customers could book the same room at the same time. The double-booking protection only saw events you had already confirmed — not the inquiries arriving through your booking page. So if a room had an inquiry you had not accepted yet, the page still allowed a second booking for that same period. From now on, a room counts as taken as soon as there is an inquiry for it, and an overlapping booking is declined.

A different time on the same day stays possible. What gets checked is the time period, not the calendar day: if your room is taken from 10am to 2pm, someone else can still book it from 6pm on the same day. Only bookings that overlap an existing one are declined.

Your booking page's buffer time counts too. The value from “Buffer time between events” applies before and after every existing booking. With a two-hour buffer, a room taken from 10am to 2pm is therefore blocked from 8am to 4pm.

The protection covers the whole workspace, not the individual page. If you offer the same room on several booking pages, an inquiry from one page now also blocks a booking through the other. Previously the protection could simply be bypassed via the second route.

What explicitly does not block the period: declined and archived inquiries, plus inquiries where the customer selected “Date is flexible”. To free up a slot again, decline the blocking inquiry or archive it.

If you deliberately want to allow several events at the same time in one room, enter the number on the room itself, in the “Parallel events” field.
