Roles page tells you upfront who may create roles

If you are not allowed to create or change roles, you now see that straight away – including the name of the person who can. Until now the form could be filled in and only failed on save.

Fixed

  • “Role could not be created.” only appeared after filling in the form. Only the workspace owner can create, edit and delete roles. Anyone listed as an admin still saw every button active, filled in the form and got nothing but a generic error on save – with no hint at the real reason.

  • The restriction is now visible before the click. Under Settings → Roles everyone else sees a note explaining that only the owner can create and change roles – naming that person, so it is clear who to ask. The buttons are visibly greyed out instead of failing silently. Viewing stays open to everyone.

  • Route to access management added. The Roles page now links to Staff → Access, where you manage who can get into the workspace at all – previously there was no way to find that from the Roles page.

Assigning an existing role to a person is unaffected: that still only needs the management permission “Change other people's roles”.
