Introductory sentences above item groups in quotes

Write a bold introductory sentence above every group of items, without price or quantity. Save the sentences you use often as text blocks and add them to a quote with one click.

New

  • Section titles across several lines. The title of a section in a quote can now span several lines: Enter starts a new line and the field grows with the text. In the PDF the title is printed in bold across the full width, with exactly these line breaks, followed by the items of the section. That turns the section into an introductory sentence such as “We would be happy to serve the following drinks to welcome your guests:”.
  • Text blocks in your templates. Under Settings, Templates you create a text block via “New Template”: a short name for the picker and the text itself. Text blocks can be edited, duplicated and deleted.
  • Section from text block. Below the line items of a quote there is a new “Section from text block” button next to “Add section”. Pick a text block and you get a section with the text as its title and without a subtotal. If “Sort positions by sections” is still off, we switch it on so the sentence appears in the PDF. You can then change the text freely in that quote, while the text block stays as it is. The same works in line item and document templates.
  • In the AI assistant, too. The assistant can create, edit and delete text blocks, add sections from text blocks and set section titles across several lines.

Changed

  • Items billed by consumption stay under their section. If an item that is billed by consumption sits in a section, the PDF now prints it under that section instead of in the “By consumption” area. The consumption note on the line stays. Items billed by consumption without a section are still grouped under “By consumption”.
