Read access and rights per operation

New read-only roles from Scale upwards, your own area per operation and a switch for shared entries: anyone who should only look sees everything but changes nothing — and anyone running one operation sees the whole catalogue but edits only theirs.

New

  • Read access: look yes, change no. A custom role with the kind “read only” opens the admin area for reading — quotes, events, invoices, reports, inventory, contacts — and allows comments, direct messages, exports except DATEV and BMD, and printing or PDF. Every save is refused: no time recording, no mailbox or calendar connection, no changes to the subscription, settings or invitations. Set it up under Settings → Roles: switch the kind to “read only”; create, edit and delete are then locked.

  • Priced from Scale. On the Scale plan one read seat is included per admin seat; each additional one costs €19 per month or €190 per year. Growth and Core have no read access — there, every admin-area login counts as an admin seat. Billing lists read seats and admin seats separately.

  • Rights per operation. A role with area tags sees events, inquiries, documents, tasks and shifts only from its own operation. Booking pages, products and locations it sees all of, but it can only edit those of its operation: foreign ones open read-only with the note “Belongs to business X — read only”, and both lists start with the “My business” filter. Entries without a tag are shared — only roles with “Edit shared entries” switched on may change them. Assign existing entries fastest via bulk selection and “Add tags”.

  • Wrong turns are caught. Anyone changing an entry outside their operation gets “This belongs to another operation. You can view it, but not change it.” and nothing is saved. Automations still run for the whole workspace — after setting up your operations, check which rules touch entries from other areas.
