Event overview map now finds the venue building

If a room has no address of its own, the map uses the address of its group or of your company and labels it “Building · Room”. An event’s own address always wins; groups now have address fields.

Fixed

  • Map for rooms without an address: On an event’s overview, the map used to search for the bare name of the location whenever no address was stored – for a room like “L22”, for example. The result was a random place somewhere or an empty map. Now the map uses the address of the venue building or of your company when the room has none: first the event’s own address (if entered, for an off-site event for example), otherwise the room’s address or coordinates, otherwise the address of the group the room belongs to, otherwise your company address from the settings. When the address comes from the group or from your company, the map is labelled “Building · Room”, for example “Legienhof · L22”.
  • Note instead of an empty map: Only if no address is stored anywhere do you see the note No address on file with a link that takes you straight to editing the location.
  • Complete address line: Below the location name you now also see the house number and postal code, not just street and city.

New

  • Address on the group: On the Groups tab under Locations you can now enter the address of the venue building. Rooms in this group without an address of their own inherit it on the event-overview map.
