- Saving a shift failed without finance permissions. Anyone allowed to plan shifts but without permissions in the finance area — a “kitchen lead” or “staff planning” role, for example — hit an error when saving a shift. Time, person and place were already stored by then, and a second attempt produced the same message. The cause was the cost line every shift carries: it counted as a finance item. It now belongs to the shift — whoever may edit the shift may save its costs.
- Empty cost list in the shift editor. Roles without read permission in the finance area could not see a shift’s cost lines at all — the list stayed empty, with no explanation, and saving dropped the amounts. Those lines are now visible.
- Staff costs doubled on every save. Roles allowed to create items but not delete them added another complete set of cost lines on every save. Staff costs silently doubled in margins and in the weekly overview. Creating and replacing now depend on the same permission.
Unchanged: prices on an open quote are still only updated by someone with edit permission in the finance area. If a shift that already appears on a quote is changed by someone without that permission, the quote keeps its price until a role with finance permissions saves the shift.
