- The “Total” column shows the same side as the unit price next to it. Until now the left said “Price net” while the right still showed the line amount including VAT — you could not check a line by doing the maths. The line total now follows the document’s price setting: a document that calculates in net shows “Total net”, a document in gross shows “Total gross”. The column heading always tells you which side you are looking at. For most documents this means the “Total” column now shows net amounts instead of gross — the same figures as before, just without VAT. The subtotal above each section and the totals panel at the end of the editor still show both sides, and nothing changes on the printed document.
- The contribution margin now states its ratio in percent. Next to the amount you see what share of your net revenue is left after the recorded cost prices, for example
1,234.00 € (32.1%). 1,234 € on 3,000 € of revenue is a different message from the same 1,234 € on 60,000 €. If the contribution margin is negative, the minus sign precedes both the amount and the percentage; if the document has no revenue yet, we show the amount only.
