“Add to inventory” now asks for the kind. In the position editor you can turn a free-text position into a product. That always produced an item – even for a dish. You now choose between “As a recipe” and “As an item” in the same menu. A recipe gains ingredients, preparation and yield; an item behaves as before. It gets its own row on production lists and in the kitchen monitor as soon as you also tick “Use for kitchen production” under “Production” in the product. Everything else – name, description, unit, price, tax rate, cost price, category – still comes straight from the position.
“Is a recipe” instead of “Produced in the kitchen”. In your inventory, under “Product kind”, one switch turns an item into a recipe at any time. Until now it was named after its side effect only; the word you actually search for appeared in the help text below it.
“Is a bundle” no longer promises a recipe. The bundle switch was labelled “Is a Bundle / Recipe” and therefore pointed at the wrong setting. A bundle is created on its own anyway, as soon as an item gets its first component.
Existing products are untouched. A recipe accidentally created as an item is one click away from being fixed.
