Embed the reservation widget on your website
You embed online table reservations into your website via iFrame or link to them directly – guests reserve in four steps.
Your guests reserve through a widget right on your website: guests → date → lunch or dinner → time, then name and email – done. They immediately receive a confirmation email with a calendar file and a link to view and cancel their reservation.
What you need first
- The Reservations module is active (or in its trial).
- At least one active offering with tables bookable online and service hours (see Set up table reservations).
Copy the embed code
- Open Reservations → Settings → Widget.
- Choose the offering.
- Click Copy embed code and paste the code into your website, e.g. on your “Reserve a table” page.
The code looks roughly like this:
<iframe src="https://univents.app/embed/reserve/your-workspace/table" width="100%" style="border:none;min-height:700px" loading="lazy" ></iframe>
The height adjusts automatically, and no cookie banner appears inside the widget. Colours and logo come from the branding of your booking pages.
Prefer not to embed? Copy link gives you the direct link (/reserve/<your-workspace>/<offering>), e.g. for Instagram, your Google profile or your email signature. /reserve/<your-workspace> shows an overview of all your offerings.
Language
The widget appears in the browser's language (German or English). Add ?lang=en or ?lang=de to the link to fix the language. Times are always shown in your business's time zone; guests in a different time zone see a note.
What your guests see
- Days without service hours, with a block or without a free table are greyed out.
- If a time has just been taken, the widget shows it immediately and reloads the free times – nothing is ever booked twice.
- From the group size set in the settings, the widget forwards to the inquiry form of your booking page – date, time and guests are pre-filled.
- With manual confirmation the reservation first shows as “requested”; the guest receives an email as soon as you accept or decline it.
If the module is not active, the widget shows “Online reservations currently unavailable” with your phone number and email address.
