Floor plan and seating on the event: a hint while you create it

On the event you now pick a floor plan and write the seating as a free note for kitchen and service. If the guests don’t fit the floor plan, the form tells you right away – and both show on the function sheet.

New

  • Seating as a free note: Instead of the fixed Seating layout choice, the event form has the text field Seating (note for kitchen/service) – e.g. “standing reception with poseur tables” or “banquet, bridal table at the front”. As you type, the field suggests values your workspace has used before. The same field is available when you capture an inquiry by phone; accepting the inquiry carries the note over to the event. Previously chosen seating layouts show up as text in the field.
  • “Too many guests” hint in the form: If you pick a floor plan and the guest count is above its seats, you see “130 guests > floor plan “Banquet” (120).” right below it – before you save. After saving, the same sentence appears in the Possibly overbooked hint in the event overview and on the document. It never blocks anything.
  • Function sheet: The header now shows the floor plan and the seating. If the selected floor plan or the seating changes after the sheet was created, the sheet shows Source changed with the section Floor plan & seating.
  • AI assistant: It sets an event’s floor plan and seating, e.g. “Set the banquet floor plan for the Hofer wedding” or “Seating: standing reception with poseur tables”. It refuses a floor plan from another location and tells you why.

Changed

  • The Seating variant field is now called Floor plan – in the event form, the schedule and on the function sheet.
  • The “too many guests” hint only uses the selected floor plan, and only when the event has exactly one location. The seating note and the location’s Maximum guests no longer trigger it.
  • If you change an event’s location, a floor plan that doesn’t belong to the new location is removed automatically. For an event series, the selected floor plan now applies to every date.
