Floor plans right in the locations overview

A venue’s floor plans now sit in the detail panel of the locations overview – with seats, preview, drawing and deleting in one place. A floor plan no longer needs a drawing: a name and a seat count are enough.

New

  • Floor plans in the venue detail: When you pick a venue under Locations, the detail panel on the right shows a Floor plans section – every plan with a small preview, its name and seat count, largest first. The heading tells you how many guests the largest plan holds. The menu on each row opens a plan for drawing or deletes it. Drawing happens on desktop – on a phone, Draw shows a note.
  • Floor plans with just a name and seats: New floor plan only asks for a name and a seat count – say “Gala · 450” or “Standing reception · 750”. Create adds the plan to the list right away, Create and draw opens the editor straight after. You change the name and seats later via Edit name/seats in the row menu or by tapping the name. Once you draw the plan, the drawn seats count – if they are fewer than the number you entered, saving asks first.
  • Your seating numbers are now floor plans: If you had entered seats per seating style in a venue’s edit dialog, each number is now its own floor plan in the detail panel – for example “Galabestuhlung · 450”. They also show up in an event’s floor plan selection.
  • Deleting tells you where a plan is used: If a floor plan is selected for events, the confirmation shows how many. After deleting, the selection is removed there, and the function sheet no longer shows the deleted plan.
  • Your venue stays selected: The selected venue is part of the page address. Reloading, a link from a report or an event, and going back from the floor plan editor all land on that venue again.
  • The editor asks first: Leaving the floor plan editor with unsaved changes now asks before discarding them. If saving fails, a message tells you why.
  • The AI assistant knows your floor plans: Ask it on the Locations page or in an event’s floor plan about a venue’s floor plans – it tells you the seats, the room size and what is in the plan, such as how many tables and chairs. It also creates floor plans with a name and seats, renames them, changes the seats or deletes them – for example “Add a floor plan Cinema with 280 seats for the event space”.

Changed

  • A venue’s edit dialog no longer has its own Floor plans section – you manage the plans in the overview’s detail panel. The old pages of a single venue now redirect to the overview.
  • Instead of the Capacity per seating style fields, the edit dialog now shows Capacity by floor plan – the seats of each floor plan, for viewing only. The Capacity (people) field is now called Maximum guests – with a note on where the number applies: as the upper limit on your public booking pages and as the basis for utilization.
  • Only people whose role may delete events can delete floor plans. If a floor plan is linked in event templates, the confirmation names those too; deleting removes it there.

Fixed

  • Upcoming events per venue: The Upcoming events list in a venue’s detail shows the next dates again – it had stayed empty.
