Layout editor: custom page number line, paragraph spacing and full-width free text

Imported Word templates now print in the new engine just like the original: page number as in Word, space between paragraphs, lines across the full text width.

New

  • Custom page number line. Under Settings → Layouts → Layout editor → Template/Theme you decide what appears at the bottom of every page — for example “{doc_number}, {Date}, Page {page}” right-aligned in black instead of a small “Page 1 of 5” in the center. Size, color and alignment sit right next to it.
  • Paragraph spacing in free text. You can now set a gap in pt between two paragraphs of a free text (a blank line in the text). Long texts such as terms and conditions read like in Word, and a heading at the bottom of a page stays with its paragraph.
  • Free text across the full width. A switch lets free texts run to the right edge of the content area. Imported Word templates then wrap exactly as in the original.

Fixed

  • Footer headings without letter spacing. If the footer is set to no letter spacing, this now also applies to the bold column headings such as “Contact” or “Bank details”.
