Changing or resetting your password
After reading this you can change your password in your profile settings, reset it if you have lost it, and set up a password of your own alongside a Google sign-in.
Your password belongs to you, not to a workspace: you change it once and it signs you in to every workspace you are a member of.
Changing your password while signed in
- Click Settings in the left navigation bar.
- Choose My Profile in the sidebar.
- Scroll to the Update your Password card.
- Enter your New Password and repeat it in the field below.
- Click Update Password.
If the two entries do not match, Univents says so directly at the field and saves nothing.
The same page also holds your profile picture, your name, Update your Email, Multi-Factor Authentication and your linked sign-in providers.
“Reauthentication Required”
If you signed in a while ago, Univents requires a fresh session for security reasons before it changes the password. The form is then replaced by the notice Reauthentication Required. Sign out once and back in — after that the password can be changed.
Forgotten password — resetting it
- Open the sign-in page and click Forgot Password?.
- Enter your email address and request the link.
- Open the email and follow the link — it takes you to a page where you set a new password.
If no email arrives, check your spam folder and whether you used the same address you were invited to Univents with.
If you sign in with Google
Your Google password belongs to Google — you change that one with Google, not in Univents.
On top of that you can give yourself a password in Univents: the Update your Password card under Settings → My Profile is there after a Google sign-in too. Enter a password and save it — after that you can come in either through Google or with email and password. Your linked sign-in providers are on the same page.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing my password also affect my access to other workspaces? It applies to all of them. Your login is a person, not a workspace — after the change you sign in everywhere with the new password.
I am a staff member using the employee portal. Does this apply to me too? Only if you sign in with a login of your own. If you receive your shifts through a personal link without signing in, there is no password and nothing to change.
Can an administrator change my password for me? No. An administrator can invite you again or revoke your access, but nobody except you can set your password. If you have lost it, use Forgot Password?.
How do I make my account even more secure? Switch on Multi-Factor Authentication on the same page. After that you need a code from your authenticator app in addition to your password when signing in.
