Roadmap & Submitting Feature Requests

After reading this, you'll know how to submit feature requests and bug reports in Univents, vote on existing suggestions, and track implementation progress on the roadmap.

The Univents roadmap is where you collect ideas, report bugs, and see at a glance what the team is currently working on. Every logged-in user can create posts, leave comments, and vote — the more votes a request receives, the more it influences prioritisation.

Roadmap & Submitting Feature Requests

Opening the Roadmap

The roadmap is accessible directly from your workspace:

  1. Log in to Univents.
  2. Select Roadmap in the left navigation panel.
  3. You will see the Entries view — a list of all posts submitted by the entire Univents customer base.
  4. Switch to the Roadmap tab to open the Kanban view, where planned and ongoing items are organised by status.

Submitting a New Post

  1. Click Create New Post at the top.
  2. In the Type field, select the appropriate category:
    • Feature — you would like a new capability in Univents.
    • Bug — something is not working as expected.
    • Question — you are unsure whether something is possible.
    • Task — a concrete task or implementation request.
  3. Enter a short, descriptive Title.
  4. In the Description field, explain your request in as much detail as possible — context helps the team understand the need.
  5. Click Submit.

Your post appears in the list immediately and is visible to all other users.

Voting on Suggestions

Found a post that matches your own request? Vote for it instead of creating a duplicate:

  1. Open the Entries list.
  2. Find the relevant post — use the search field or the Type and All Statuses filters to narrow the list down.
  3. Click the vote button (upward arrow with a counter) next to the post.

The more votes a post receives, the higher it appears when sorting by Most Votes.

Comments and Discussion

Inside a post you can add details or ask follow-up questions:

  1. Click on the post to open the detail view.
  2. Write your message in the text field at the top of the comments section.
  3. Click Submit Comment.

Load earlier comments by clicking Load More Comments.

Understanding Implementation Statuses

Every post carries a status badge showing its current state:

StatusMeaning
Under ReviewThe team has seen the post and is evaluating it.
PlannedImplementation has been approved and is scheduled.
In ProgressDevelopment is actively underway.
CompletedThe feature is live or the bug has been fixed.
DeclinedWill not be implemented for now — usually explained with a comment.

Switch to the Roadmap view (Kanban) to see all posts arranged in columns by status.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I vote for the same post more than once? No. One vote per user per post is allowed. Clicking again withdraws your vote.

The "Create New Post" button appears greyed out — why? The button is only active for logged-in users. Make sure you are signed in.

My request already exists as a post — should I create a new one anyway? No. Vote for the existing post and add your context as a comment. This consolidates votes and shows the team the true weight of that request.

How quickly does the team respond to new posts? There is no fixed SLA. Posts with many comments or high vote counts are prioritised for review and receive a status update first.
