How do I connect my BuchhaltungsButler account?

BuchhaltungsButler is in preparation and cannot be connected yet. This article explains what the connection will do and how to hand invoices over to accounting in the meantime.

Short answer: not yet. The connection to BuchhaltungsButler is in preparation. You can already see it as a card in the integrations directory, but it is marked Coming soon there and cannot be connected yet — not even through support.

This article shows you where to register your interest and which route to use until then.

Where to find the card

  1. Open Integrations in the left sidebar. You land on the All integrations page with every integration card.
  2. Click Accounting in the CATEGORIES bar on the left, or type "BuchhaltungsButler" into the Search integration field at the top.
  3. The BuchhaltungsButler card carries the Coming soon badge. Instead of Open it offers a Register interest button — that's how you let us know.

The Guide button on the same card brings you back to this article at any time.

What the connection will do

Once it launches, you'll transfer an issued invoice to your accounting with a single click — including all line items, tax rates and the recipient as a debtor, with no retyping of amounts. The details are still being settled as we build it.

What happens when you register your interest

We track which accounting connection is requested how often and prioritise accordingly. As soon as BuchhaltungsButler is ready, we'll get in touch — you don't need to do anything else or follow up.

What to use today instead

Until BuchhaltungsButler can be connected, four other routes get you into accounting: the DATEV and BMD journal entry exports as a file, or a direct transfer via sevdesk or bexio — you connect your account once and every issued invoice moves across with a click from then on.

All four routes are covered in the Accounting Exports & Integrations article.

Frequently asked questions

Can support enable the connection for me? No. There is currently no way to connect BuchhaltungsButler — neither in the app nor through us. The card in the directory is a preview of what's coming.

What data will the connection transfer? We'll decide that as we build it. Tell us what you need via the card — it feeds into the decision.

Is there a launch date? We deliberately don't name a date while none is fixed. As soon as it starts, we'll notify everyone who registered their interest.

What about Lexware Office? Lexware Office is also still in preparation. sevdesk, bexio, and the DATEV and BMD exports, on the other hand, are already available — sevdesk and bexio in beta. Details are in the Accounting Exports & Integrations article.
