Notification settings

After reading this article you'll know which notifications you get in the app and by email, how to turn on push in your browser and how to send notification emails to an address other than your sign-in.

Univents notifies you about what happens in your team: new enquiries, assignments, shifts, leave, quotes and invoices, customer messages and more. You set all of this up under Settings → Notifications. The settings only apply to you, not to your colleagues.

What you can set

The page has three parts:

  • Push in this browser — mentions also appear as a pop-up on your screen, even when Univents is in another tab. The switch only applies to the device and browser where you turn it on.
  • Email address for notifications — which address notification emails go to (see below).
  • Notification Preferences — two switches per area (e.g. booking requests, finance documents, shift assignments, tasks, messages): In-App for the bell at the top right and Email for the email.

Notifications to a different address

By default, notification emails go to the address you sign in with. You can enter a different address — for example when several people share one “office@…” login and you'd rather get notifications in your own inbox. Your sign-in stays the same.

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.
  2. In the Email address for notifications card, click Use a different address.
  3. Enter the new address and click Send confirmation link.
  4. Open the email “Please confirm your notification address” in the new inbox and click Confirm address. On the page that opens, click Confirm address once more.

Until you confirm, the card shows Awaiting confirmation and notifications keep going to the previous address. After confirming, it shows Notifications go to with your new address.

⚠️ The confirmation link is valid for 48 hours and works only once. You can request at most five confirmation links per day.

What goes to the new address

  • All team notifications by email: new and assigned enquiries, shifts, leave, quotes and invoices, tasks (including “task assigned”), customer messages, change requests, reservations, join requests and warnings about your connected mailbox.
  • The address applies in all workspaces you have access to.

What stays at your sign-in address

Everything to do with signing in and your account keeps going to your sign-in address: password reset, sign-in code, changing your sign-in address, deleting your account and invitations to a team.

Change or remove the address

  • Change: click Change address and enter the new address. It also only becomes active after the click in the confirmation link — until then the previous address stays.
  • Remove: click Remove and confirm in the dialog. Notifications go to your sign-in address again, starting now.
  • Withdraw confirmation: if you made a typo, click Withdraw confirmation. The link that was sent stops working.

You can also check or change the address in the AI chat, for example with “Which address do my notifications go to?”. Before a new address is entered, the chat shows you a confirmation card.

Enquiries from a booking page

For new enquiries from a booking page you can also enter your own recipient addresses in the booking page editor, for example an office inbox. This list stays as it is. If your notification address itself is on that list, you still get the enquiry only once — as an email with all form data.

Frequently asked questions

Does a different notification address change my sign-in? No. You keep signing in with your existing address. To change the sign-in itself, use Update your Email in your profile.

I didn't get a confirmation email. Check your spam folder and whether the address is spelled correctly. Otherwise request a new link via Change address — the old one stops working.

Can I enter a different address per workspace? No. The address applies to you in all workspaces.

Do my customers or my crew in the portal get emails at this address? No. Customers and staff in the employee portal keep getting their emails at their contact's address. This setting only affects your own team notifications.
