Reporting a bug and sending feedback — with a screenshot or by voice

How to report a bug straight from Univents, send a screenshot, mark what is broken — and how to speak your report instead of typing it.

Something not working as expected, or missing? Report it straight from the app. That is the fastest route to us: your report arrives with a screenshot and the page context, so we do not have to ask where exactly you were.

Opening a report

A round button with a megaphone icon sits in the bottom right corner of every page. Clicking it takes a screenshot of the page automatically and opens the report window.

The button is available in the staff portal too — your team can report problems themselves instead of going through you.

Choosing the type

At the top of the window you pick what this is about:

ChoiceFor
BugSomething does not work as expected.
FeedbackAn idea, a wish, something that bothers you.
QuestionYou are not sure whether or how something works.

For a question, please leave an email address so we can reply — it is usually filled in already. If the question comes up in the middle of your work, the window also offers to ask the AI assistant directly: it knows your workspace and answers right away.

Describing it — typing or speaking

Write what happened and what you expected instead in the large field. The more specific you are, the faster we find the cause.

If you would rather speak than type, click the microphone icon next to the text field:

  1. Click the microphone (Speak instead of typing).
  2. Allow the browser access to your microphone once, if it asks.
  3. Say what you want to report. Pauses are fine — the recording keeps running until you stop it.
  4. Click the button again (Stop recording) to finish.

Text you already typed stays, what you say is appended. You can still correct the text before sending. Speech is turned into text by your browser; no audio recording is stored or sent.

If no microphone icon appears, your browser does not support the feature (Firefox, for example). Then type your report as usual — or use Chrome, Edge or Safari.

Sending and marking up the screenshot

Below the text field you see the screenshot that was taken automatically. You can:

  • Annotate — draw a box or an arrow on what is wrong, or black out something nobody else needs to see.
  • Retake — if the page looks different by now.
  • Upload image — use your own image instead of the automatic screenshot.
  • Clear the checkbox — send the report without an image.

If the automatic screenshot fails once, you see a note. Your report still goes out.

Sending

Click Send (for a question: Send as question). A short confirmation appears and the window closes. If a voice recording is still running, sending stops it automatically.

FAQ

Is what I say stored anywhere? No. Speech is turned into text inside your browser; no audio file is stored or sent to us. All we receive is the text you see in the field — and that you can edit before sending.

Why do I not see a microphone icon? Your browser does not support voice input. Firefox has no such feature; Chrome, Edge and Safari do. The button is deliberately not shown at all rather than doing nothing when clicked.

The browser never asks for the microphone and nothing happens. Access for this site was most likely blocked at some point. You can allow it again in your browser settings for univents.app (usually via the icon on the left of the address bar).

Can I report here instead of recording my screen? Yes, that is exactly what the window is for. A screenshot plus a few spoken sentences is usually enough — we also see automatically which page you were on and which errors your browser reported.

Where do I see what became of my report? Larger wishes end up on the roadmap in your workspace, where you can also vote on other people's suggestions. Questions get an answer by email.
