Your rollout plan: what comes next
After reading this you will know what the rollout plan shows, where its status comes from, how to check off or set aside steps and how to ask a question about a step.
The rollout plan shows you what comes next for you, who does it and how far you are. Univents sets it up for you. It is included in every plan, including the trial.
Where to find it
As soon as your rollout plan is released, Rollout plan appears in the menu. The dashboard also shows your next step. You can hide this notice, and it comes back when the next step changes. As long as there is a rollout plan, it replaces the start checklist.
The owners and admins of the workspace can see the rollout plan. Crew cannot.
What the page shows
The top explains why this order was chosen. Below that, Up next is open and shows:
- Today: how you do this at the moment
- How it works: how it works in Univents
- What you get: what it brings you
- First step: where to start
Open directly takes you to the right feature, and the Back to the rollout plan bar brings you back. If your role has no access to the feature, a sentence tells you who can unlock it.
The phases follow below. Later phases are collapsed and show how many steps they contain. At the very bottom, Where you stand today shows how much is already in the workspace. You only see numbers from areas you have access to.
Where the status comes from
You do not have to maintain the status. For many steps, Univents reads it from actual use:
- Started: You have used the feature already.
- Running: You use it in at least two different weeks.
- Set up: The setup is done.
- Not used for a while: Nothing has happened in the last 90 days. These steps appear in a separate notice.
- Univents is on it: There is nothing for you to do.
- Status not available right now: We could not read the status just now. This does not mean anything is open.
If a date has passed, the step still reads “Planned by” in a neutral way.
Checking off or setting aside steps
You check off steps that Univents cannot measure yourself. For a step that delivers something to us, you set Sent. Once it has arrived, we confirm it.
If a step does not fit right now, choose Not right now. It then no longer counts towards your progress, and Up next moves on. Undo brings any step back.
Asking a question about a step
Every step has Ask about this. Your question reaches us together with the step, and you get the answer by email. If a status looks wrong, Not right? takes you to the same place.
Features from a higher plan
If a step says “Available with Growth”, for example, it still explains what the feature does. There is no direct link then, but a View plans link instead.
When the plan is completed
A completed rollout plan shows the status at completion and what you achieved. It no longer changes and no longer links directly to features. Earlier plans stay readable under Earlier plans.
