How do I connect my lexoffice account?

After following this guide, your lexoffice account will be connected to Univents and contacts as well as invoices will be synced automatically.

With the lexoffice integration, you transfer contacts and invoices directly from Univents into your accounting software — no double data entry required. The connection runs via an API key that you generate once in lexoffice and enter in Univents.

How do I connect my lexoffice account?

Generate an API key in lexoffice

  1. Log in to your lexoffice account.
  2. Open your profile menu in the top right and go to Settings.
  3. Navigate to the API section (or Integrations / API Keys).
  4. Click Create new API key.
  5. Give the key a name (e.g. "Univents") and confirm.
  6. Copy the displayed key immediately — lexoffice only shows it in full once.

Set up the connection in Univents

  1. Open the left navigation in Univents and select Settings.
  2. Click Integrations in the settings menu.
  3. Scroll to the Accounting section.
  4. You will see the LexOffice card with the status Not connected.
  5. Paste your copied API key into the API Key field.
  6. Click Connect.

After a few seconds, the status will change to Connected.

Sync data

Once the connection is established, you can trigger a manual sync at any time:

  1. Go back to Settings > Integrations > Accounting.
  2. Click Sync now on the LexOffice card.
  3. Univents will transfer contacts and invoices. The date of the last sync is displayed directly on the card.

Invoices you create in Univents are automatically transferred to lexoffice as records on the next sync.

Disconnect the integration

If you want to deactivate the integration, click Disconnect on the LexOffice card. Existing data in lexoffice is retained — no further data will be transferred going forward.

Frequently asked questions

Who can set up the integration? Only workspace owners can connect, sync, and disconnect integrations. Members with other roles will receive an error message when trying to save.

What happens if I delete the API key in lexoffice? The connection will fail on the next sync. Disconnect the integration in Univents, generate a new API key in lexoffice, and reconnect.

What data is transferred? Currently, contacts and invoices are synced. Quotes and other documents are not part of the sync.

Can I connect multiple lexoffice accounts? No, one lexoffice connection is possible per workspace.
